    Description

This replica of a statue in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France, an ancient Egyptian scribe by the name of Nebmerutef from 1370 B. C. ready to take dictation from Pharaoh, measures 3 ¾” wide at the base, 6 1/8” tall and weighs 1 pound, 5 ounces. It is in fine condition with a very small scuff on the nose and a very small chip above the right eye (see photos). Alva Studios of New York made this reproduction out of black “Alvastone” on a beige soapstone  base. The label of Alva Studios is on the base, though somewhat worn and the statue is marked on the side copyright symbol 1955 and Alvastone. An excellent addition to your desk, bookshelf or anywhere to start a conversation or to give to a budding archeologist. (2401-
